Secretary Benjamin P. Reyes is the current Chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB). He assumed office on September 1, 2016, appointed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Sec. Reyes is not new to the anti-drug advocacy. He is the former Deputy Executive Director for Operations before he was appointed as the Chairman.
He entered the government work force as a public health advocate, previously working at the Department of Health. In 2003, he became the Officer-In charge of the National Center for Health Promotion at the DOH. In the following year, he was appointed as Supervising Health Program Officer. Later on, he became part of the Office of the Undersecretary for Health Operations as Program Manager.
Sec. Reyes is an expert in the fields of Public Health, Development Management and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment. Profoundly driven and hardworking, Sec. Reyes is committed to advancing the anti-drug advocacy to protect the welfare of every Filipino.

Sec. Reyes is a graduate of the University of the Philippines – Manila with a degree in Dentistry. He also earned his Master in Public Health Degree in the same University and Master in Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management.
The DDB Chairman is a licensed dentist and a Career Executive Service Officer.
