Pursuant to provision of R. A. 9165 which aims to provide a continuing education for judges, prosecutors and law enforcers, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), Supreme Court of the Philippines and the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) will conduct the Seminar- Workshop on the Dangerous Drugs Law for Judges, Prosecutors and Law Enforcers on August 13-15,  2013 at Fort Ilocandia, Ilocos Norte.

The Manila Adventist Medical Center Colleges  will launch on August 5, 2013 the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), a program designed  to enlist the participation of in and out-of school youth, and organize them into a movement of young people who who will be a catalysts within their peer groups in advocating a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The objective of the activity is to heighten the level of awareness of the students on the extent of the drug problem and its prevention of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) students.

1-3 July 2013, at Tagaytay Country Hotel in Tagaytay City.

Agenda: Consolidation of the draft amendments prepared by the DDB Technical Working Group and PDEA Special Working Group for Board Regulation No.3, s. 2003, prior to its presentation to the Board.

The Dangerous Drugs Board, together with the Department of Education Region X- Northern Mindanao, will conduct an Orientation on Barkada Kontra Droga Program (BKD) Program and Training of Trainors on Life Skills Enhancement on Drug Abuse Prevention Education at Crystal Inn Hotel, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte on July 8-10, 2013.

One hundred (100) participants are expected to come and join the program composed of guidance counselors, school coordinators, health and nutrition personnel and members of the International Order of DeMolay.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 264 dated June 01, 1998, the 26th of June of every year has been declared as “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT). This declaration is in support of the resolution passed by the UN General Assembly on December 7, 1987. For this year’s observance, the theme is “Make health your 'new high' in life, not drugs.”
