What: 26th National Youth Congress on Drug Abuse Prevention Education

The Dangerous Drugs Board is pleased to invite you to join the 26th National Youth Congress on Drug Abuse Prevention Education (NYC-DAPE) on 21 – 24 May 2018 at the Governor Corazon L. Cabagnot Tourism and Training Center in Kalibo, Aklan.

Now on its 26th year, the program is an annual event which seeks to maximize youth empowerment and involvement in the fight against drug dependency. It will be participated in by 200 youth leaders nationwide.

We are encouraging the participation of active and exemplary youth leaders (ages 18-27) from existing youth organizations or locality to attend the above-stated event. The organizers will take care of the food and accommodation of the participants during the conduct of the NYC-DAPE. Please note that the travel expenses shall be borne by the sending entities. Further, the DDB will not be held liable should they wish to extend their stay after the program.

Interested participants are required to prepare and send the following documents through email. Only those with complete requirements will be considered by the DDB. Successful applicants will be notified through email on May 15, 2018.

Endorsement letter from the sending schools/agencies/organizations

Accomplished waiver

Scanned copies of Valid ID of the participants with their birth dates

A one-page action plan (in word file, single-spaced, Times New Roman or Arial, font size 12) or proposal addressing the drug problem in their chosen community
